Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, has stated that the recent BRICS New Delhi Declaration is consistent with the Islamic Republic's primary diplomatic stances. According to Gharibabadi, the document mirrors Tehran’s opposition to unilateral international sanctions and its firm condemnation of any aggression directed toward civilian nuclear infrastructure. Furthermore, the official highlighted that the declaration provides support for Iran’s ongoing efforts to secure membership in the World Trade Organization. The statement also underscored the alignment between the BRICS bloc and Iran regarding the defense of Palestinian rights. This assessment suggests a strengthening of diplomatic synergy between Iran and the BRICS member nations on several critical global and legal issues.
