King Salman has authorized a series of financial support initiatives for Saudi citizens, following a recommendation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Eligible civilian and military personnel, alongside retirees and beneficiaries of the social insurance system, will receive a monthly allowance increase of SR500. Furthermore, the government has adjusted the minimum wage requirements for Saudi nationals employed under the Nitaqat program. These directives are set to align with upcoming changes to utility tariffs for water and electricity, which are scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027. The measures aim to provide economic relief to various segments of the population, including families currently enrolled in the national social security system, as the country prepares for the implementation of new energy and water pricing structures.
