Manang district reported substantial precipitation over the last day, with the Tal weather station measuring 104.4 millimetres of rainfall. Meteorological authorities define this volume as very heavy, falling just short of the extreme category. The current wet weather across Nepal is attributed to the lingering effects of Cyclone Arnab, which originated in the Bay of Bengal, combined with the impact of westerly winds. While moderate rain persists in many regions, Gandaki, Madhesh, and Karnali provinces have seen localized heavy downpours. Notable three-hour rainfall totals were also documented in Mugu. However, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology expects the intensity of these weather systems to diminish across the country starting this afternoon.
