The National Center for Meteorology has declared a red alert for Taif due to anticipated heavy rainfall and potential flash flooding. This warning is active between midday and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, with forecasts indicating severe thunderstorms, high winds, hail, and significantly reduced visibility. Beyond Taif, the meteorological agency expects moderate to heavy storm activity across Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah, which may also involve dust-stirring winds and hail. Furthermore, lighter storm conditions are predicted for the regions of Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders. Residents in these areas should also prepare for potential fog formation during the overnight and early morning hours, particularly in coastal sections of the Eastern Province.
