New Delhi is finalizing preparations for the 2026 BRICS Summit, scheduled for September 12-13 at the Bharat Mandapam convention center. Under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability,” the event will host heads of state from member nations, including India, Russia, China, and several others. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the proceedings, which focus on multilateralism and global governance. To facilitate the movement of high-profile delegates, local authorities have implemented significant traffic management protocols, affecting over 35 roads across the capital. The itinerary includes closed-door sessions, an innovation exhibition, and a gala dinner. While the summit marks a major diplomatic milestone for India as the current chair, it also serves as a platform for potential bilateral discussions between key global leaders amidst the group's ongoing expansion.
