A recent poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration reveals that a significant majority of Thai citizens advocate for rigorous application of local laws regarding Israeli visitors. Among those surveyed who were aware of reports concerning alleged misconduct by Israeli nationals, approximately 76.38% expressed a desire for authorities to take firm legal action. The study involved 1,410 eligible voters across various provinces, including Phuket, Bangkok, and Chon Buri, contacted via telephone between September 8 and 10. While a large portion of participants had encountered media coverage regarding these incidents, only 5.11% reported personal experiences with such behavior. The research, which maintains a 97% confidence level, highlights growing public concern regarding the conduct of international visitors and the necessity for consistent regulatory oversight by Thai officials.
