During the recent CIS Council of Heads of State summit, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev advocated for the development of a strategic portfolio focused on flagship industrial and technological initiatives. Tokayev highlighted Kazakhstan's ongoing efforts to enhance regional connectivity by establishing a series of cross-border trade and industrial hubs along its frontiers with Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The President emphasized that the necessary legal structures are already in place to facilitate deeper economic integration and industrial collaboration among member nations. Furthermore, he noted that significant investments in modern infrastructure are currently underway to support business expansion and the creation of new manufacturing facilities. Tokayev concluded by stressing the importance of removing artificial obstacles to trade, urging member states to fully utilize their collective economic potential to foster a more pragmatic and efficient partnership across the Commonwealth.
