The Saudi Arabian government has officially authorized the creation of the Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal Nature Reserve. Spanning 4,310 square kilometers, the protected zone is situated between the regions of Dhurma and Al-Muzahimiyah. The area is characterized by a diverse topography that includes the Tuwaiq Mountains alongside various sand dunes and rural landscapes. Ibrahim Al-Sultan, who serves as the CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, noted that this initiative aligns with national goals to safeguard environmental and cultural heritage sites. The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has been tasked with managing the reserve and ensuring its development objectives are met, reflecting a broader commitment from the Saudi leadership to enhance the Kingdom’s natural assets.
