Ali Akbar Velayati, a high-ranking international affairs adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has issued a stern warning to the United Arab Emirates regarding its stance on three disputed islands in the Persian Gulf. Velayati cautioned the Emirati government against questioning Iran's territorial sovereignty over these locations. He emphasized that the UAE, which has existed as a nation for approximately fifty years, lacks the historical depth and military capacity to compete with the Islamic Republic. This statement serves as a formal rebuttal to recent diplomatic challenges from the UAE concerning the islands, reinforcing Tehran's firm position on its regional territorial integrity and dismissing the legitimacy of the UAE's claims.
