A 26-year-old individual has entered a guilty plea for dangerous driving after reaching speeds of 221 km/h during a group road trip. The incident occurred on October 27, 2024, when a convoy of six vehicles traveled recklessly along the Pan Island and Central Expressways toward Orchard Road. CCTV evidence captured the defendant braking abruptly to prevent hitting a vehicle turning onto Queen Street. This maneuver triggered a chain reaction, resulting in a rear-end collision involving the defendant's Mitsubishi Evo and another car. A third vehicle subsequently lost control while attempting to avoid the crash, veering onto a grass verge and overturning. Debris from the initial impact scattered across the roadway, highlighting the severe consequences of the group's high-speed conduct. The suspect formally acknowledged his role in the dangerous driving offense on September 8.
