This commitment was highlighted during a visit by Sri Lanka's Representative to Palestine, Farook Mohamed Fawzer, to Dr. Laila Ghannam, the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, on Monday. During their meeting, Mr. Fawzer emphasized Sri Lanka's consistent support for the Palestinian cause over five decades. He also underscored the nation's dedication to upholding international legal principles and fostering a peaceful resolution to regional issues. Furthermore, Sri Lanka conveyed its intention to revive the Vocational Training Institute Project in Ramallah, a key initiative aimed at empowering Palestinian youth. The representative also reiterated Sri Lanka's ongoing backing for UNRWA and its provision of humanitarian assistance.
