Kazakhstan has experienced a notable rise in oil transportation figures during the initial eight months of 2026. According to data from KazTransOil, the national operator moved 30.639 million tonnes of crude oil through its primary pipeline network, representing a 4% increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, the total volume of oil and petroleum product transshipment reached 31.89 million tonnes, maintaining the same growth rate. A significant highlight of this period was the 39% surge in oil volumes directed into the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system. These figures underscore the growing strategic relevance of Kazakhstan's export infrastructure for its resource-dependent economy. The growth was observed across several key transit corridors, including the Atasu-Alashankou route and shipments through the Port of Aktau, despite various operational challenges encountered throughout the year.
