Ocean Voyager International has successfully exported its inaugural amphibious vehicle, designed for both terrestrial and aquatic use, to the European market. The shipment was formally recognized during a ceremony at the Koggala Free Trade Zone, attended by Industries and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti. This development represents a significant achievement for the nation’s marine manufacturing sector. Minister Handunnetti emphasized that the government is focused on fostering an economy rooted in domestic production. He further noted that Sri Lanka’s strategic position along global maritime corridors offers substantial potential to expand the local shipbuilding and boat manufacturing industry, which could serve as a vital contributor to the country's foreign exchange earnings.
