A recent study reveals that 26 percent of respondents in Japan identify the United States as the primary danger to international stability. This result marks a significant increase of 9.3 percentage points compared to the findings from the previous fiscal year. In the 2024 assessment, only 6.6 percent of those surveyed held this perspective regarding the American role in global peace. The data highlights a notable shift in public opinion within Japan concerning the geopolitical influence and actions of the United States over the past twelve months.
