Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has issued deportation orders for two long-term foreign residents on Koh Samui following a series of public disputes and criminal convictions. Israeli national Yaacov Ohayon is currently detained at a local police station awaiting removal, while French zoo owner Kevin Dimino has evaded authorities, prompting an urgent search by immigration officials. The government’s decision stems from reports of harassment, threats, and behavior deemed disruptive to public order and social harmony. Although both individuals possess the right to appeal within seven days of formal notification, their residency in Thailand appears effectively terminated. The cases highlight a stricter enforcement of immigration regulations, as officials move to expel foreigners involved in incidents that threaten local stability. While Ohayon remains in custody, officers continue to track Dimino, whose business premises were found abandoned as the deportation process proceeds.
