The third Xinjiang National Reading Conference has officially commenced in Hotan, focusing on the theme of "Deepening Nationwide Reading." This initiative seeks to cultivate a widespread appreciation for literature while reinforcing cultural identity across the region. During the opening event, organizers recognized exemplary schools, families, and businesses for their contributions to literacy. Additionally, ten individuals were designated as reading promoters, and a list of 35 recommended books published in Xinjiang throughout 2025 was unveiled. The conference program includes a variety of activities such as public book fairs, an evening performance centered on reading, and specialized forums dedicated to encouraging reading habits among the youth. These efforts aim to integrate reading into daily life and support educational development within the community.
