Turkish police have detained Ahmet Sapa, a columnist and representative for the Islamist media group Köklü Değişim, at his residence in Hatay. This action follows his online commentary regarding restrictions on headscarves within educational institutions in Azerbaijan. Prior to this, Muhammed Emin Yıldırım, the organization's representative in Istanbul, was taken into custody on allegations of insulting a foreign leader, specifically Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, whom he labeled a dictator. Yıldırım was subsequently released following an interrogation. Additionally, authorities in Ankara summoned activist Fatih Erşahin for questioning regarding his social media activity, and another unnamed individual was briefly detained. These incidents reflect an ongoing official response to public criticism directed at the Azerbaijani government's domestic policies.
