Turkish law enforcement agencies have initiated a widespread operation targeting emerging criminal networks across 48 provinces. Prosecutors have authorized detention warrants for 1,008 individuals suspected of involvement in organized crime. This coordinated effort involves multiple branches, including the national police, the intelligence agency, and cybercrime units. According to the Interior Ministry, these criminal groups utilized encrypted messaging applications and social media platforms to facilitate illegal activities. These digital tools were allegedly employed to recruit new members, organize contract killings, and hire gunmen. Furthermore, authorities claim the suspects used online channels to disseminate threats, insult individuals, and glorify criminal behavior. While the ministry confirmed the scope of the operation, it has not yet disclosed the specific number of individuals currently in custody following the initial raids.
