This development occurs amidst an ongoing global competition for technological dominance between the two nations. The situation is particularly sensitive as it precedes a scheduled diplomatic meeting between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping at the White House, where artificial intelligence is anticipated to be a primary subject of negotiation. This accusation follows a series of similar claims previously raised by both the American government and private sector technology firms regarding the unauthorized acquisition of intellectual property through industrial-scale data extraction campaigns.
