San Miguel Corporation and NLEX Corporation are collaborating with the Department of Public Works and Highways to mitigate flood risks in Valenzuela City. The initiative involves the deployment of over 20 pieces of heavy machinery to conduct simultaneous dredging operations in vulnerable locations. Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon acknowledged the contribution from the private sector, noting that the majority of the equipment is being provided by San Miguel Corporation under the leadership of Ramon S. Ang. While the government has yet to establish a formal timeline for the project, officials confirmed that operations will commence once all necessary machinery has arrived on-site. This public-private partnership aims to improve drainage capacity and reduce the impact of flooding on both the local community and the expressway infrastructure.
