Delhi International Airport Limited has officially registered a police complaint against 63 social media accounts for spreading inaccurate information regarding flooding at the facility. Following intense rainfall on September 4, which resulted in temporary water accumulation at the Terminal 3 arrival area, various online posts falsely claimed that airport operations were severely impacted. The operator highlighted that some users shared outdated footage from Dubai Airport, misrepresenting it as current events in Delhi. According to the airport management, these misleading reports were designed to cause public alarm, damage the reputation of essential infrastructure, and unnecessarily worry travelers. The airport recorded approximately 72.2 mm of precipitation during the afternoon hours of the incident, but officials maintain that the viral claims of widespread flooding and operational disruption were entirely fabricated.
