United States President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that Iran has essentially ceased its efforts to pursue nuclear weaponry. Speaking to the press before traveling to an Ohio rally, Trump highlighted this shift as a significant development in the ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran, which have persisted for eight months. Furthermore, the President noted a decline in global oil prices, asserting that current costs are lower than those observed during the previous administration. He credited his policies for addressing the nuclear threat, despite Iran's consistent denials regarding any intent to build such armaments. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has maintained his country's long-standing position that its nuclear program is not intended for military purposes, contradicting the claims made by the United States and Israel following their late February strikes.
