On Friday, a fire involving dry brush erupted in the vicinity of a solid waste disposal site near Shakhovskoye village, located in Petropavlovsk. The North Kazakhstan Region Department of Emergency Situations reported that firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene to manage the blaze. Officials stated that the emergency is currently under control. Visual evidence shared on social media platforms depicted significant smoke and flames adjacent to a local highway. This incident follows the successful containment of two separate large-scale fires in the Karaganda region, which affected approximately 630 hectares across the Shet and Bukhar-Zhyrau districts. Authorities continue to monitor the situation to prevent further spread.
