The relatives of Hina Javed, a 45-year-old digital designer who was reportedly killed in Rawalpindi last August, are preparing to contest the results of the official police inquiry. Dissatisfied with the current DNA evidence and the conclusions reached by the investigative committee, the family is currently evaluating their legal options. They continue to advocate for the establishment of an independent judicial commission to oversee the case. Should this request be denied, the family intends to petition the court for a re-examination of forensic samples by an impartial laboratory. These steps are being planned ahead of the formal submission of the police challan to the judiciary, as the family maintains significant doubts regarding the integrity of the initial investigation process.
