A violent assault on Riyadh's international airport on Saturday resulted in at least 12 fatalities and left over 300 individuals injured. Saudi aviation officials confirmed that the victims included two Bangladeshi nationals, along with citizens from Saudi Arabia, the United States, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, and Egypt. This incident marks the third attack on the facility within a single week and is considered the most lethal event in the kingdom in over ten years. Emergency services transported a large number of casualties to local hospitals, with several victims reported to be in critical condition. The attack occurred unexpectedly, as the Saudi threat warning system failed to issue an alert prior to the strike. The Houthis, who receive support from Iran, have intensified their military campaign against Saudi Arabia throughout the summer months.
