Chiefs of Interpol National Central Bureaus from several nations, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, gathered in Minsk. Representatives from the CIS Bureau for Coordination of Combating Organized Crime and the Interpol General Secretariat also participated. Gennady Kazakevich, Belarus's Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Criminal Police, welcomed the delegates. Discussions primarily focused on enhancing collaboration among national central bureaus through Interpol's framework. Participants assessed the current state and future prospects of information sharing, pinpointing existing challenges and exploring potential remedies. The agenda also included state involvement in Interpol activities concerning the organization's charter and data processing regulations. Emphasized was the critical need to uphold Interpol's neutrality and prevent external factors from influencing law enforcement operations. Strengthening practical cooperation and fostering direct, trusting relationships among NCB leaders were highlighted as crucial for improving the speed and effectiveness of international efforts against transnational crime, particularly in the context of growing digital and cross-border criminal activities.
