The Israeli government has declared the finalization of a security buffer in southern Lebanon after military forces destroyed underground infrastructure beneath the Ali Al Taher ridge. According to the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the operation involved the detonation of over 1,000 tonnes of explosives to collapse two tunnels spanning more than two kilometers. Israeli officials characterized the site as a long-term strategic asset developed with Iranian support. Local reports from Lebanon indicated that the massive explosion generated significant tremors felt across the Nabatieh region. This action follows recent Israeli military efforts to clear the area of Hezbollah combatants, marking what authorities describe as the conclusion of their operational objectives in that specific sector of the border zone.
