Yaniv Hayoun, an Israeli plumber, was personally thanked by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his intervention on a Flydubai flight traveling to Tel Aviv. During the incident, the aircraft's co-pilot reportedly attacked the captain and initiated a dangerous descent, causing the plane to drop 14,000 feet in under half a minute. Hayoun intervened by rushing to the cockpit and restraining the assailant with a chokehold, subsequently assisting in stabilizing the aircraft. The passenger met with the Prime Minister while still bearing visible signs of the struggle. Reports indicate that other passengers, including off-duty pilots, also assisted the crew in regaining control of the flight to prevent a potential crash.
