Law enforcement officials in Kathmandu have taken 36-year-old Sujan Kapali into custody following the discovery of a substantial cache of illegal firecrackers at his residence in Bhurunkhel. Acting on intelligence regarding the unauthorized storage and distribution of pyrotechnics, a team from the Lainchaur Police Circle conducted a raid on the evening of April 22. The search uncovered 52 distinct varieties of explosive items, including hundreds of rocket bombs, Leopard King units, and thousands of King Cobra packets. Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Thapa confirmed that the suspect, a native of Kavrepalanchok district, is currently being held at the Lainchaur facility. Authorities have initiated a formal investigation into the matter to determine the full extent of the illicit operation.
