The victims, including a retired teacher and his family, were killed on August 20, with bodies discovered on August 22. The suspects were apprehended early on August 23. The delay between the alleged drug consumption and the medical testing likely prevented the detection of substances in their systems, highlighting the limitations of toxicology screenings when significant time has elapsed since the reported usage.
