A 24-year-old Malaysian national was taken into custody after authorities discovered over two kilograms of illegal substances concealed within his motorcycle at the Tuas Checkpoint. The incident occurred last Wednesday when the Malaysia-registered vehicle was flagged by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officers for additional screening. During the inspection, officials located five bundles of suspected heroin and methamphetamine hidden inside a tote bag beneath a raincoat in the motorcycle's storage compartment. The Central Narcotics Bureau is currently handling the case, with the estimated street value of the seized contraband reaching approximately S$122,000. The suspect remains under investigation for attempting to smuggle controlled substances into Singapore.
