A man identified as Gof Sritanaamorn sustained facial injuries during a home invasion in Werribee, Melbourne, on September 7. Two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, reportedly gained entry to the residence by climbing a fence and entering through the garage while the family slept. When the intruders demanded vehicle keys, Sritanaamorn intervened to protect his wife and seven-year-old daughter. During the confrontation, one of the suspects struck the father across the face with a samurai sword. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Sritanaamorn expressed significant distress regarding the incident, which occurred while his family was present inside their home. Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this violent break-in.
