A series of 177 forest and brush fires have impacted southern Turkey, resulting in one death and significant property damage. A local resident, Hasan Kahya, passed away from a heart attack while assisting emergency crews in the Aksu district. Across the affected areas, over 20 residences have been destroyed or damaged, leading to the evacuation of more than 1,500 individuals. In Antalya, strong winds accelerated the spread of flames toward residential zones, farms, and animal shelters, necessitating the relocation of hundreds of people from multiple neighborhoods. Beyond the fatality, several individuals required medical attention for burns and smoke inhalation. While firefighters have managed most of the blazes, operations continue in Adana province as of Wednesday. Authorities have also coordinated the rescue of over 100 dogs from the path of the fires.
