The Pakistani Foreign Office has officially denounced the recent Houthi drone and missile strikes directed at civilian and economic infrastructure within Saudi Arabia. Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan confirmed that Islamabad remains prepared to fulfill its obligations under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, characterizing the pact as a defensive framework intended to bolster regional stability. The Houthi offensive, which occurred on Tuesday, impacted several southern Saudi cities including Abha and Jazan, resulting in 73 injuries, including women and children. Furthermore, the strikes caused fires at energy installations, forcing a temporary suspension of operations while emergency crews addressed the damage. Pakistan emphasized that its involvement is strictly focused on deterrence and maintaining security in accordance with the established bilateral defense protocols.
