During a monthly UN Security Council briefing regarding the situation in Yemen, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, formally denounced ongoing Houthi strikes against Saudi Arabia. Islamabad expressed deep concern over the targeting of critical infrastructure, specifically highlighting assaults on facilities in Makkah and Madinah, as well as attacks on King Khalid and Abha international airports. Ambassador Ahmad emphasized that these hostile actions represent a significant danger to regional stability and security. Furthermore, he stressed the necessity of upholding the sanctity and security of the Two Holy Mosques at all times. Pakistan has called for an immediate halt to these hostilities to prevent further escalation and to protect civilian infrastructure from continued aggression.
