A 40-year-old Thai man identified as Kiattisak, alias Ice, was taken into custody by Mueang Pattaya police on September 8. The arrest occurred at a rented property in Pattaya following a standoff that lasted over an hour. The suspect is accused of leading a group that posed as law enforcement officers during an August 3 raid on a local massage parlor. According to the testimonies of three victims, the group forcibly transported them to a room in Jomtien under the pretense of performing drug screenings. Once there, the perpetrators demanded 7,500 baht from the women. The police operation was initiated after the victims filed a formal complaint regarding the abduction and subsequent financial extortion.
