Law enforcement officials in Trang province have taken two individuals into custody in connection with a homicide involving a burned vehicle. The investigation began after emergency responders discovered human remains inside a pickup truck that had been set ablaze near the Tha Ngio Reservoir in the Huai Yot district. The victim was identified as a 37-year-old rubber tapper from Nakhon Si Thammarat after his sister recognized the vehicle's registration in media reports. According to police, the incident appears to be motivated by a disagreement related to an illegal drug transaction. The victim had been reported missing by his family for several days prior to the discovery. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death and the subsequent arson.
