Amina Ali al-Mulla, head of the Special Education and Inclusive Education Department at Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education, has highlighted significant progress in the country's inclusive learning framework. The initiative focuses on improving school preparedness, training expert personnel, and integrating specialized assistive technologies to support students with diverse requirements. By refining assessment and monitoring protocols, the ministry aims to better address individual learning needs. Currently, these inclusive services are operational in 81 government schools, with an additional 18 facilities serving remote regions to ensure better accessibility for families. Al-Mulla emphasized that this expansion is a central component of the ministry's broader strategy to modernize special education, moving beyond mere numerical growth to ensure high-quality support for students with disabilities throughout the educational system.
