The Qatari Ministry of Interior is highlighting the Al Adeid service, a platform designed to facilitate secure and confidential communication between the public and law enforcement agencies. During a recent webinar, Lieutenant Khalifa Thallab Eid Julaimeld al-Hajiri explained that the system enables citizens and residents to submit tips regarding criminal activities, social issues, or general security threats without disclosing their personal identities. By ensuring the privacy of informants, the ministry aims to encourage the reporting of suspicious behavior or potential violations that individuals might otherwise be hesitant to share. Beyond reporting crimes, the service also serves as a channel for the public to offer suggestions or lodge formal complaints directly to the relevant authorities, thereby strengthening the collaborative link between the community and the state's security apparatus.
