Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, has finalized three separate memoranda of understanding to strengthen regional energy collaboration. The agreements involve partnerships with government officials from Kuwait, Qatar, and Egypt. Specifically, the pact with Kuwait focuses on renewable energy, electricity grid interconnection, and power exports. The framework also encompasses technical cooperation in areas such as energy efficiency, smart grid development, and energy storage solutions. Furthermore, the initiative prioritizes digital transformation, cybersecurity, and the integration of artificial intelligence within the energy sector. These agreements aim to foster strategic institutional partnerships and promote the localization of energy-related technologies across the participating nations.
