The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority of Saudi Arabia recently announced that it successfully intercepted 1,147 attempts to transport prohibited goods across the nation's land, sea, and air borders. These enforcement actions are part of a broader initiative to enhance national security and shield the public from illicit materials. The confiscated inventory comprised 48 distinct categories of narcotics, including heroin, cocaine, hashish, methamphetamine, and Captagon, alongside 270 other banned substances. Furthermore, officials stopped 839 smuggling operations involving tobacco products and addressed nine instances of illicit cash movement. The authority emphasized its dedication to maintaining rigorous oversight of all imports and exports while working closely with other government agencies. Citizens are encouraged to assist in these anti-smuggling efforts by reporting any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities to help protect the country's economic and social stability.
