Ng Jing Kai, a 29-year-old Singaporean, has entered a guilty plea for manslaughter regarding a fatal incident in Perth, Australia. While visiting the city with associates in May 2024, Ng struck a 48-year-old cyclist with his vehicle in the suburb of Carlisle. The victim was dragged over 30 meters during the collision and subsequently died from his injuries at a medical facility. Initially facing a murder charge, Ng had his indictment reduced to manslaughter in August 2026. He has remained in detention without bail since the day of the incident. The court is scheduled to deliver his sentence on November 3, 2026.
