The Sri Lankan Rupee experienced slight depreciation against the US Dollar across various commercial banks on September 9. While the selling rate for the currency remained relatively stable around the Rs. 332 mark, individual financial institutions reported minor adjustments in their daily exchange rates. Seylan Bank and NDB Bank maintained their previous buying and selling figures, showing no change from the prior day. Conversely, People’s Bank and Commercial Bank recorded marginal increases in both buying and selling rates. Similarly, Sampath Bank adjusted its buying rate upward. These variations reflect the current trading environment for the local currency as it continues to navigate market conditions against the American dollar.
