Thai immigration police have arrested a South Korean national, identified as Lim, who was wanted by Interpol for his involvement in a fraudulent investment scheme. Lim, a senior figure in the organization known as Lucky Nine, allegedly orchestrated a multi-level marketing operation that defrauded over 100 victims of approximately 10 billion won. The suspect had been residing in Thailand illegally for 260 days, frequently changing locations between Phuket and Nonthaburi to evade capture. Following a request from South Korean authorities, Thai police tracked Lim to a residence in Nonthaburi, where they seized electronic devices and credit cards. Lim admitted to the overstay charges and his status as a wanted individual. He is currently in custody and will be deported to South Korea to face legal proceedings after addressing his immigration violations in Thailand.
