Thai immigration officials, in collaboration with the South Korean Embassy, conducted a raid on a residence in Bangkok's Sai Mai district on October 19. The operation resulted in the detention of eight South Korean citizens and one Chinese national suspected of running a fraudulent call center. During the search of the property, police confiscated 13 computers, 21 mobile phones, and various pieces of equipment. Authorities also discovered counterfeit South Korean government paperwork, fabricated arrest warrants, and scripts written in Korean designed to deceive victims. According to investigators, the group employed common scam tactics, including impersonating government officials and using intimidation through fake legal documentation to extort money from targets. The investigation into the network's activities remains ongoing.
