A recent analysis by the price tracking platform OpenTheRank reveals that the 256GB iPhone Duo is significantly more expensive in Turkey compared to other nations. With a retail price of 229,999 lira, the device costs approximately $4,741 in Turkey, marking a 137 percent increase over the $1,999 price tag found in the United States. While the US is identified as the most affordable market among the 23 countries surveyed, Turkey holds the highest position. Other relatively inexpensive regions include Hong Kong, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. Conversely, Brazil and India follow Turkey as the next most costly markets. The report notes that Turkish pricing incorporates a 20 percent value-added tax, whereas US figures exclude local sales taxes, meaning the final cost for consumers may vary based on regional tax policies.
