The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has rectified the positioning of traffic barriers on a road construction site in Limay, Bataan. This action followed the circulation of a viral video showing the barriers arranged in a confusing manner, which created hazardous conditions for passing motorists. The agency stated that the adjustments were made to comply with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to prioritize public road safety. Consequently, the specific section undergoing maintenance has been properly cordoned off to facilitate secure repair operations. The initial footage, shared by a citizen on September 8, highlighted how the erratic placement of these obstacles forced drivers to navigate dangerously. Local reports indicate that this particular stretch of highway frequently sustains damage during periods of heavy rainfall caused by the Southwest Monsoon or tropical storms.
