Lebanese President Joseph Aoun conducted a surprise visit to Nabatieh on Saturday, a city located near a strategic Hezbollah facility recently destroyed by Israeli forces. Accompanied by security personnel, the President met with local residents and visited the Nabatieh Governmental Hospital to commend the medical staff for their continued service despite the mass displacement of the local population. This visit occurred shortly after a senior American diplomat announced that upcoming US-mediated negotiations between Israel and Lebanon have been postponed until October. The region has experienced fluctuating levels of conflict between Israeli forces and the Hezbollah militant group, with the President's presence serving as a gesture of solidarity with those remaining in the volatile southern territory.
