The 47th Blue Dragon Film Awards have announced their nominations, with director Na Hong-jin’s science fiction production Hope receiving ten nods. This project, recognized as the most costly film in South Korean cinema history, debuted at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. It is currently competing for major honors, including best picture and best director, while actor Zo In-sun has been nominated for his performance. Following closely in the nomination count is Lee Chang-dong’s Netflix-distributed feature Possible Love, which earned eight nominations. The full list of contenders was officially disclosed on Wednesday, highlighting the significant presence of these two high-profile productions in this year's awards cycle.
