A police constable lost his life and a colleague sustained injuries following an armed assault on a patrol vehicle in the Karak district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. District Police Officer Imran Khan reported that the incident occurred during the early hours of Wednesday near the Shatakai dam, while the officers were conducting standard patrol duties. Following the attack, the wounded officer was transported to a medical facility for urgent care. Authorities arrived at the location shortly after the shooting to secure the area. A search operation has been initiated by the police force to locate the perpetrators involved in the ambush. Additional security personnel have been deployed to the region to assist with the ongoing investigation and to maintain order in the aftermath of the violence.
